“Tricia has proven time and time again why she is held in such high regard across the higher education sector and beyond. A strong leader, clear strategist and first-rate problem solver, Tricia’s track record speaks for itself. During my time as Chair of the Board of Trustees of CASE Europe I came to rely on her wise counsel and sage advice. Experienced, knowledgeable and prodigiously well connected, Tricia’s insights are valuable and invariably worth heeding.”

I worked with Tricia King for 11 years when she was on my leadership team at Birkbeck. I promoted her to Pro-Vice-Master and she became the first PVM from a professional background in the College’s 200 year history. Her particular skill was to gather all of the externally facing professional teams in support of Birkbeck’s unique and usually seriously threatened, offer. She understands how to operate effectively inside and outside the institution. She can navigate influence in complex, political, HE environments and she can construct a powerful, authentic narrative behind which all communities want to gather.

I wish her luck in her new venture and encourage you all to talk to her. She is always a thoughtful and powerful advisor to have in your camp, whatever your challenge.

I have known Tricia professionally for more than twenty years.  She has always been an exceptional strategic leader and her distinctive contribution to global HE management is exemplary.  She is a detailed thinker who can tailor her approaches to the particular challenges of a leadership team and her energy, humour and likeability translates well to staff at all levels, from executive to transactional team members.  Tricia inspired 80 advancement professionals at a recent workshop at The University of Warwick Tricia impressing many with her knowledge of their day to day environments and receiving the highest possible praise from all involved.  In the midst of a very challenging time for the team Tricia shone a light on tangible techniques for improving individual and group performance.  The following is typical of the feedback received as a result of the workshop: “Tricia was very engaging. Her knowledge of the of the sector was obvious, she made the relevant connections to our teams and current challenges; her whole presentation really resonated well”.  TKCC provides an opportunity for many more organisations to benefit from Tricia’s insight and experience in both education and the creative sectors and I strongly endorse her to leaders looking for fresh motivation and ideas for advancing education in a complex and globally connected society.

Sheffield Hallam Students' Union needed initiate radical change to secure its long term future through a new, bold and credible strategy. I was daunted by the prospect of being able to get our stakeholders to create a vision that was bold and radically different from our current model. Tricia was a critical part in designing and delivering a process to challenge the status quo. As facilitator of our strategic workshop she was skilled at engaging participants in creating and prioritising the themes for our transformational journey with the end result being a massive shift in thinking about what we will be delivering in the future.

There are numerous benefits to working with Tricia, almost too many to mention - she is inspirational, a brilliant coach and steeped in knowledge about the Higher Education Sector. More importantly, it is her ability to genuinely relate to people at all levels coupled with her empathic understanding that makes her really good at what she does.

“I got to know Tricia King through her work with CASE. I was involved with her appointment as Vice-President Global Engagement and I worked with her during the time that I chaired CASE Asia-Pacific and later in my role as a Trustee of CASE. She was a fabulous colleague: hard-working, effective, reliable, always full of ideas and enthusiasm, an excellent communicator and a genuine team player. She is very well-equipped to work as a consultant and coach in the education sector anywhere in the world. She has relevant experience, wisdom, humour, common sense and most important of all, passion. For those of us that fervently believe in the power of education to transform lives and societies, Tricia will be a powerful ally. I am pleased to recommend her.”

“ I’ve been lucky enough to work closely with Tricia King for 20 years. Her mastery of the nuances of situational leadership is incredible. She will help you reach a better understanding of organisation’s narrative: where it has come from, what makes it tick, what it believes; and with that comes greater empathy, better decisions and the harnessing of energy to bring about change. Tricia is someone you are glad to know, and always pleased to share with.”
